Kenwood Vineyards creates its award-winning Sonoma County Merlot from vineyards located in the Sonoma, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys. Sonoma Valley fruit provides good color and excellent texture. The blend is balanced with grapes from the warmer Dry Creek and Alexander Valley regions that provide more fruit-forward character. The resulting wine is ripe, supple and well-proportioned.
This classic, well-balanced Merlot combines elegant structure with loads of fruit. Fruity aromas of raspberry and plum join with aromatic notes of spice, dark chocolate, and French oak. On the palate, it is a well-balanced wine with supple tannins and a lingering finish.
