Bennett Valley
The Bennett Valley is located on the western edge of Sonoma Valley between three unique mountains: Taylor to the west, Bennett to the east, and Sonoma to the south. The ocean breeze and cool coastal fog often pour through this mountainous gap, keeping the temperatures ideal and moderate. This consistent influence from the ocean creates the ultimate growing conditions for cool weather varieties such as Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. With over 8,000 acres of Viticultural Area to choose from, small, independent growers currently farm only 650 acres collectively. As Sonoma County’s newest appellation, the stature of this unique region is expected to flourish in the coming years.
