Kenwood Vineyards’ second Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon release features "Table setting," by artist Nell Melcher.
Nell Melcher thinks of her paintings more in terms of ‘situations’ than still lifes – situations that touch a nerve of fond remembrance in the viewer. “I have a knack for putting a still life together so it captures a moment in time.” They are crowded arrangements of ordinary and personal objects that evoke pleasure and delight when grouped together in a certain way – glasses of wine, cut flowers, a magical parrot feather, a wedge of Brie cheese, a crystal wedding present, and a seashell from Mendocino.

The Wine
This wine was selected from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County and exhibits aromas of ripe berries. The wine was aged in small oak barrels and will continue to improve with bottle age.
